#6 Assignment 1
Go to http://www.cryptool.org/
and click on CrypTool Online.
Use different methods
to encrypt messages, and then try to use the analysis tools to analyze the
entropy such as floating frequency, histogram, N-Gram, autocorrelation, and
periodicity, etc. Also try to use symmetric key ciphers such as DES and
asymmetric ciphers such as RSA, DH, etc.
Capturing
the Screen Image

Press
the PrntScn key to copy whole screen to the
clipboard.
·
Copy
the image into a word processing file.
·
Save it
with the filename YourName_IS461_CrypTool.
Analysis
·
Compare
and contrast the different methods you used based on the analysis tools.
·
Note
the implications of any differences.
Reflection
·
What
are some of the benefits to using this product? What are some of the risks?
Include this in your lab write up.
·
How was
your experience with this? Did you have any issues?

to completing the CrypTool Lab, also submit the
following:
Solve problem
10.1 on page 319 and solve problem 10.3 on page 319 of the textbook. Show all
required work and include a short paragraph that provides your reasoning for
how you arrived at your answer. Also include a paragraph about how the content
of these problems can be used in a real life situation.
