Backup Strategy Assignment
It is necessary to have an effective backup
strategy plan for a recover plan to be successful. If you do not have a proper
backup then you will not be able to restore the necessary data, system or
operation.
For this assignment you will develop your backup
strategy policy. You need to develop the plan for the highest priority (major
systems/data). These would be the components
from your business impact analysis that are necessary for the business
operations functionality.
Develop a written backup plan that tells you:
- What's being backed up
- Where it's being backed up
- How often backups will occur
- Who's in charge of performing backups
- Who's in charge of monitoring the success of
these backups

below. The strategy chosen is for a

Create the backup strategy plan from your organization scenario. Make
sure you include your IT Backup team members/structure. Note: Your plan will
not necessarily cover all data/systems in the template but should include the
vital information about the systems and procedures for at least two categories.
Don’t forget about internal
elements, external assets, third-party resources, linkages to other
offices/clients/vendors, etc.
